Open MIC last week was awesome! There was great attendance and enthusiasm. The performances were stunning. I felt like I experienced a three day music festival in just 3 hours! Just a sample of the performances: veterans Roberino with Merrick and Rob the Harmonica Man; a remarkable 'a-capella' rendition of “The Girl from Ipanema” from Christine; LM Legends Myranda & Mike; Sandy came all the way from Gabriola Island for the gig; the 'Three Pennies' with Guillermo; Jeffrey played impeccable blues and roots; an original protest song by Carole, favorite Lee got us dancing, Paco from Yotzin gave it a wrap. Most acts are backed by Rick the Stick, the ace improvising percussionist. What's not to like?
