A month ago when I arrived, I went in and got the new card and inquired about the new banking rules, finger prints are no longer being used as ID, accepting ANY foreign currency is not acceptable, including foreign bank checks, and what I gathered, WISE is the only acceptable transfer agent at the time of my visit as they deposit in pesos and not foreign currencies. Now, having said that, this is afterall Mexico and everything is subject to change.
