If your intention is to secure a nice quiet place in La Manzanilla to spend your winter days,make sure you really do your homework. All it takes is one rental place nearby to spoil your time....as just happened to me. While my rental unit was clean and quiet the house below me sure wasn't. At all times throughout the day ( until 11:30 p.m.) the pool at the rental unit was full of shrieking children, and partying adults. I counted up to 5 cars at the residence...full of kids. I realize that there was going to be more celebrating throughout the Easter.... 2 week holiday...but these parties can happen any weekend. With virtually no bylaws re: excessive noise...be prepared for some very long nights. If your up on the hill overlooking the Bay...be careful. The noise tends to travel up the hill.
