Re: Snake Experts Yup we have rattle snakes

I had a chat with Gerardo tonight and he confirmed the snake on our property “is a pacific rattle snake or ( Crotalus basiliscus) scientific name - it is a venemous snake . Is endemic of this area. No nest because the size is not like a baby one also this species doesn't have a nest they "born" alive, no eggs.” Gerrado said they are in the hills area and more active because of the rain. He has also seen them down in the mangrove. I am wondering if warning signs would be good for both areas? Is this something one would bring to the attention of the Ejidio. We have a lot of hikers, kids and pets around both areas.
