Jon’s book is a wonderful adventure story that I so enjoyed reading. The characters are finely developed and engaging.

There is a local author section? Why didn't I know that? When I published my memoir, "The Accidental Immigrant," I asked my publisher to send my copies to a friend in Ohio because shipping charges to Mexico are so high. If I pick them up this summer and fly them back (eight books left), do I have your permission to add them to the HH author section? The book covers my first 20 years in Mexico (I'm now in year 22), but it should never be out of date.

This author is from my home town. Can’t wait to hear about this book from him! I’ve been told it is a great read.

Jons book was published in October 2023 and has already won five awards. Shanghaied is Historical Fiction set in 1810. Five men are kidnapped from a New England pub and put to work on a tall merchant ship, sailing the globe. This is a page turner, with plot twists, and well developed characters including strong women.
Jons lifetime of sailing experience lends credibility to his writing, and his many years of thorough research shine through in the details throughout this heroes journey tale.

My friend ran into Jon and Liza at the wooden boat festival in the Pacific Northwest. He bought the book, and enjoyed it very much.
