Beach cleanup

Beach cleanup. Why, all of a sudden is there a massive cleanup of the rocks on the beach ? After a group of volunteers started picking rocks by hand, two large payloaders were on the beach late this afternoon and evening moving the rocks. Clean up for Easter I presume. I guess the tourists were not spending enough money in town. One of the payloaders used the private property I'm can't on to gain access to the beach without asking. What was that all about ? Locked gates evidently do not mean anything to this cleanup crew. There's plenty of public access points to get machinery on the beach. Will see what tomorrow brings.

More to the story. The property manager called me this morning to let me know the property owner and her have given permission for the payloader to go through the property to load the rocks into trucks. All OK now. It will be good to have our beach back. Thanks to all those involved. It's all happening right now !

Three front-end loaders on the beach north of the cocodrilario last night past sunset…never seen this before in our 18 years here. One wonders why this couldn’t have been done months ago, especially before the Christmas holidays

Wondering that myself. I was told that a number of businesses approached La Huerta district in January this year about a beach clean up similar to what was done after the 2015 hurricane that left the beach in similar condition and was cleaned up before Xmas that year. According to what I was told their concerns were to be taken up with some type of “Tourism department “. No idea if it was national or local department and how that went. Funny how things get done in Mexico, you gotta love it!! Everyone enjoy a truly great place!!
