My visit to Peluditos refuge last week!

I had not been out to see the refuge since Laura has taken it over so thought it time to see what it was all about and how she was doing! All of my furries have come to me from being abandoned or left to die on the streets so I have a soft spot for these beings!
Must say I was so impressed by her endeavors both to keep them safe and find homes for them but at this time of year when there is little activity other than more needing homes and better facilities to house them…it takes lots of time…and financial assistance!
Yes, fundraisers during high season help tremendously and all the volunteers that assist are great too, but, the money made then will carry her through June and into July and that’s just for food and water! It takes approx $650 US to maintain the refuge per month with about 30 dogs and numerous cats to care for….and she has maxed out and can take no more!
So I am getting involved to see if some of you up North would like to make a donation…plain and simple….either through Laura’s PayPal account….peluditos.lamanz@gmail.com…or by making a pledge through OV that can be paid back on your arrival to LM next season! Easy, eh?
My hope is to hear from you so this project can continue without the fear of lack of finances to see it through!
Just tell me how much you choose to donate and I will forward that amount to Laura from the Otra Vez account and then you can pay back that account when you arrive next season….does that read well?
Thanks Linda…you got the ball rolling! And as this is new to me I would like to clarify something! Could we donate in pesos as that is what I would prefer to give Laura and also be paid back with to OV…so does 4,000 pesos sound good to you? And thanks again!
Yes, I am happy to donate in pesos. I think she is doing a wonderful job and she has put a lot of work into the refuge. I think she knows every dog in LM!
