Goodbye to our friend Joe...until we meet again

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we say goodbye to our long time friend Joe Bucklin (Inspector Joe to all that knew him). Joe passed this morning in Manzanillo Community Hospital after being diagnosed with a tumor in his lung several months back.

Special thanks to Selena and Lallo who have been his caregivers since April...Selena, you are a saint and we really appreciate you taking him in, as well as making his last few months more comfortable! A very sincere thank you.

We will miss you Joe...and while you're up there...try not to criticize the buildings in heaven too much...

Sad news. Joe made the world more beautiful with his sculptures and I'll miss him at the card table where he was a crack hand at bridge.Adios amigo.

Rob and I are sad to think that we will not be seeing Joe at our Bridge tables next season. He was an excellent player. Our best to Joe's family and friends.

Mr. Joe and Ms. Jo at the bridge table ... I'm not alone in knowing he will be missed, his quiet contemplation as he prepared his next play, his gentle smile as he made yet another trick, his measured step as he made his way back home along the beach. Yes, Mr. Joe, we'll miss you ... I'll miss you.

Dear Joe,
I walked pass you casita today & was sad to see your trains & shell castles were gone. I understand your handmade castles are safely placed away in the trailer. We will forever treasure the shell statutes we purchased & received from you as gifts. Thank you.
