A new project underway- sponsor a bench!

After La Huerta gave the go ahead a couple of weeks ago to replace the individual benches with new ones in the jardin, we now have one that has just been completed! On either side are round cutouts to plant shade trees. This project is not receiving any governmental funding but will rely solely on sponsorship. This can be done by individuals, groups of friends, businesses - sponsors names will be inscribed on inset plaques. If anyone is interested to sponsor a bench, please contact me for more information- mazinka@live.com
Thank you Stephanie for your offer to help fund the bench project! The total cost of a bench including two cutouts in the pavement to plant shade trees, is 17,000 pesos. However there are different possibilities to break down the costs between the construction of the bench (9,000 p) and the mosaic (8,000). One person I know of is planning to make a mosaic but doesn’t have the funds to cover the cost of the bench. So your donation and others like it, can go towards covering that expense. I didn’t see this post until this afternoon……so what about next Monday? We have another bench starting next week with all the cost covered, however after that hopefully there will be another request.
