RFC's

We’ve been putting off getting an appointment to get our RFC information from SAT mainly out of retirement scheduling conflicts. However, when I saw Tia Richardson's recent business post about RFCs & Constancia's for buying or selling a vehicle, I decided to reach out and have her get us appointments. Vern thought we had been issued RFCs at the time we received our residency cards. After Tia did some research, she let us know that there had been a couple of bad data migrations within the SAT system and Vern DID have an RFC but that it had not connected to his CURP. I thought the same would be true for mine, but found out that the RFC I thought I had was issued by a bank and was issued incorrectly. We engaged Tia’s professional services to get us both the correct appointments needed so that we could both walk out with our EFIRMA or “access to our tax payer account”. Residents not only need the RFC but have to have access to their account depending on their particular situation. Since I am interested in signing us up for Mexican medical, we will need RFC's. We are also looking at selling our 2006 LEXUS RX330 and will need to print our updated Constancia's. Which we found out are only valid for 60 days. Glad we spoke to Tia before showing up at SAT. We had heard so many different stories, but didn’t realize things are changing so rapidly here. Money well spent. I got caught up with the bad data migration and as a result ended up with two sets of numbers and two sets of CURPS, with Tia's guidance and my standing in several lines and some excuses as to why there were delays in sorting the mess out (along with a 1600 pesos payment) it finally got totally sorted out and a new card issued. Tia definitely knows the system and how it changes from month to month. You only can consult someone who is in constant contact with the system, just because someone goes through the process (last week) does not make them an expert, trust me on that one.
