La Vena

Because there is no restaurant at Lavina, they are not allowing any tourist/locals that are not guests at the hotel and beyond the guard house. You would have to know someone in a yacht or buy a day pass for the hotel.

Pretty sure that’s against Mexico federal law allowing access but enforcing access is another thing.

Did the restaurant at La Vena close? I ate my favorite empanadas de camaron there just a couple weeks ago.

One must drive through blue bear territory to get there, so I guess it is legal to refuse entrance to people not staying there. But their main reason seem to be that there is no restaurant there at the present time.

It’s closed on Tuesdays! Maybe that was the problem…

I was so sad to hear about La Vena, but here is good news. I just ran into my friend who works at the Blue Bay hotel, and he said the restaurant is opening again on December 5. Yay!
