Who has had this installed? Is it better than regular TelCel? What is the cost? Thank you

We have it installed and currently trying to get it up to the promised speed. They installed it at Palapa Joes and it’s working as advertised.
Pricing is supposed to be 449 per month for 80 mbs (up and down) but at home we have 19/1. Palapa Joes is 60/60.
It seems if you already have Telmex, they will replace it with fiber optic, but if you ask the guys in the blue shirts, they will sell you a new line. SpencerC/Moderator

This is from the Telmex.com home page. Without phone the 80mbps option is supposed to be 349 pesos a month. I have it installed and I'm getting ~75 down and 80 up. It says nuevo so maybe this is a new lower cost option? Who knows? I just ran a speedtest and got: Download Mbps 78.59 Upload Mbps 86.19

Yup, I was told 349/ month after 12 months. The extra 100/month was for installation. But then saw they were installing for free at other locations. Working my way through the Telmex red tape…SpencerC/Moderator

I knew I was going to have to pay for installation as I was getting a new line and not replacing an existing DSL line. It was unclear to me how that installation fee would be charged. It looks like, in my case, it's over 6 months. Based on my first monthly bill.

They offer 2 payment options for installation: - a 1 time payment of $1600 + your monthly plan. - or $500 + your plan for the 1st month, then $100 + your plan for the 2nd to 12th month. They want installation to be paid before hooking up. An invoice is sent to your email address. I didn’t know my invoice had gone into my junk mail. Went to OXXO to pay. Fibre Optics is good, clear & fast.
