Looking for a Used cell phone

As many of you remember from last year our local bike mechanic Augustine had his second leg amputated due to diabetes.
Amazingly he has been fixing bikes again. Not sustainable though! so if anyone wants to drop off protein foods such as tuna, nuts, eggs and chicken) it is most appreciated. I asked him what he needed help with and he said his cell phone. I took it to find another battery but it’s obsolete! So now I am on a quest for a cell phone for him. Does anyone have an old one lying around? Or would anyone like to contribute to help buy him another one? I saw a Samsung for 2199 pesos

We brought Tilín a Christmas hamper today. Will keep an eye out for a cel phone.

Hi Norma. I have one. I’m seeing if it will hold a charge. I will bring it with me. I will be in La Manzanita the first 2 weeks of January.

Lynn, I’m wondering if your extra cell phone holds a charge? Otherwise I have a friend willing to donate 500 pesos towards a new phone for Augustin. A new one is 1600-2200 pesos. Anyone out there feeling like giving a donation? I’m in! Any amount is appreciated. I’ve learned a lot about humility and kindness from Augustin. He never complains and is very grateful!

Hi Norma, it holds a charge OK. It could probably be better with a new battery. It is an android and it’s last use was 2019. I pulled it out of a drawer to charge it and erase it and it works well. I will be at Dave and Debbie’s on the afternoon of January 1st if you would want it .
