Amigos! Nothing says “Christmas” like a high of 84 degrees on Wednesday. Please don’t ask Mateo to convert that to Celsius, because he’s an American! Thanks for all your support so far this season, please keep the following in mind for the upcoming week and the New Year.
CHRISTMAS WITH CHAVA We welcome everyone at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, to enjoy Chava’s final show of 2024 at Crocodile Casitas and Glamping. For those of you who made a reservation, we’ll have your table ready for 5 p.m. and aim to serve your Christmas dinner at 6 p.m. If you did not make a reservation, don’t worry, we’d still love to host you. In addition to plenty of margaritas and other beverages, the menu includes guacamole, nachos, chili and lots of music with Chava. We hope to see you for the show. The best seats are available for those who show up at 5 p.m.
CHRISTMAS DAY PLANS The Crocodile will be completely closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Christmas Day. The staff has the day off, but Mateo and his family will gladly serve you a Christmas margarita, beer and wine with the sunset on Wednesday.
BREAKFAST BARGAIN We invite everyone to stop by for a delicious breakfast and a beverage from 8 a.m. to noon daily. Delicious breakfast and a drink–either coffee or juice–available for only 100 pesos.
I LOVE THE 80s Many of you are too young to remember this, but Mateo had hair and none of it was gray during his high school days in the 1980s. Come help Mateo re-live his youth at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, at our New Year’s Eve Dance Party. We will celebrate the grand opening of our new casitas at the new Crocodile Casitas and Glamping. New name, slightly new concept, same ol’ Mateo. You may make reservations starting Dec. 25 for this special Dec. 31 event.
LOTS OF CROCODILES Many of you know Mateo’s daughter Carmen, who grew up in La Manzanilla and has recently finished her third semester at LSU. Her big brother, Juan Karlo, and his wife, Christine, now live in La Manzanilla, and have made the new business just before the cemetery better than ever. If you see Mateo carrying laundry by the old business, it’s because he still runs four of the rentals at the old location, which will later include Marcos Brambila’s new restaurant.
