Duties/ taxes on electronic devices

Does anyone have info or experience With the duties charged by Mexico for having too many electronic devices. I've never had a problem before but it's expensive if you exceed the limits and are charged the duties.
I’ve brought 7 devices in almost every year for the last 7 years and not even a raised eyebrow at the airport. Either you have enough to look like you’re going to sell them or it was a custom’s scam…it happens.
Well, I hope you're right. There are numerous postings in Mexican and travel websites about limiting wireless devices - ie not both a laptop and a tablet. Phones are fine you can have 3! If that makes any sense. Somehow Cancun seemed to be where they were being most strict about it. Thanks for optimistic response.
Actually Cancun has lifted the duty on too many electronic devices. I stand corrected…this is new to me and curious. Bringing a laptop and an iPod is not allowed apparently because it indicates that one of them would be sold. We have brought old computers for employees or local kids so it makes no sense to us. On the other hand recently I’ve only brought a cell and a laptop. I would, as a permanent resident, challenge any such dury.
