Tip Our Garbage Workers!!

Please remember to tip La Huerta's garbage workers for all they do for La Manzanilla and Los Ingenios. Taxes paid by everyone here are marginal and thus government pays marginally.
The brave garbage truck crew collects and delivers garbage to the landfill from households, businesses, and public waste cans year-round. It is physically hard and dangerous labor. They are truly valiant, underpaid and overworked, especially during Christmas, Easter and school holidays.
The truck driver collects and distributes tips to the crew. It may be difficult to tip them because the garbage truck begins its route in the wee hours of the morning. Stephanie agreed to host a tip jar at the bookstore for the next two weeks.
