Not wanting a political debate but could not longer support an Elong Musk dish on my house.
So went back to telmex to try there new fiber optical lines in town ( not readily available yet) but service guys are in town running lines as fast as they can. Completely new system nothing to do with old copper lines new boxes inside your home comes with phone hookup , wifi , and ethernet .initial speed tests are insane better than starlink . Achieved over 8 Mb / s on a file download

Yes correct telmex base slowest fiber plan is 60 mbs.looks like you are actually receiving 10 mbs over contract . This standard contract is only 500 peso per month ( approx) but for 100 peso more your speed is increased to 300 mbs basically identical to starlink for half the price. But telmex doesn't even stop there for approx 1000 peso a month they offer speeds over 1000mbs. Three times faster than starlink for less money. GAMERS REJOICE or have a margaritas stare at the sunset and enjoy our amazing paradise .

BUT the downside is, I had a confirmed appointment for this AM, they were a big NO SHOW, so with the new lighting data speed is NOT with lighting speed of service. They are no better with their old service model.
