To our friends, community members, and family far and wide.
Thank you so much for your prayers and generosity in light of the recent tragedy. It has been touching to see such an incredible community rally around the victims of a disaster with such love and support.
We would like to take this time, using this post, to give the community clarity.
In this tragedy, Crocodile Casitas and Glamping’s physical structure was not the only loss. We would like to take this opportunity to introduce our neighbor, Reanna, who lost her home to the fire. Just as Mateo worked hard to bring his dream to life, she too had a dream home she worked hard toward building that was lost in the disaster.
We intend to use funds raised and donations made to Crocodile to support all victims of the fire as best we can at this time. The recipients of Crocodile’s support and funds will include Reanna, our neighbor; our guests, who lost their place to stay and any material items; and our team of employees who lost their stable income with the loss of our restaurant and casitas. Donations made are being split between these priorities before we even consider how we will move forward with any of our own rebuilding.
The victims of the disaster appreciate respect of confidentiality at this time. We would love to see the uplifting of the community continue and do not wish for any misinformation to circulate. Please contact us directly if you are looking for ways to best support all victims of this disaster as we are working with every party who suffered damages to best make it though this difficult time.
