Hurricane?

One of the fishermen told our Consuelo yesterday that a hurricane might be coming - this Thursday/Friday.

I checked the Ventusky app but I really do not understand it well.

Could anyone with capabilities in this subject please check?

I know it’s only May…

Tropical tidbits shows something developing, maybe just a tropical depression vs a hurricane, but it looks like rain might be early this year. Yes rain is coming Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Not predicted to hit land nor major winds to us in La Manzanilla but hopefully some needed rain. https://www.windy.com/-Rain-thunder-rain?rain,18.271,-104.930,6

I am so sorry to bring this up, in the middle of the guessing the first rainfall….a longstanding tradition. I did not realize.

The contest still needs to be to the closest hour and there needs to be at least 1/2” of rain, so lots of variables to factor in.

From the National Hurricane Center (NHC)
For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. South of the Southern Coast of Mexico (EP90):
Showers and thunderstorms are gradually becoming better organized
near a broad area of low pressure located several hundred miles
south of the coast of southern Mexico, but the system still lacks a
well-defined circulation. Environmental conditions are favorable
for further development, and a tropical depression or tropical storm
is expected to form tonight or on Wednesday as the low moves
generally west-northwestward at around 10 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...high...near 100 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days...high...near 100 percent.
