WISE will not send pesos to Intercam account

Tired this morning received message:

We cannot send to this recipient
We currently can not support payments to this bank. We are working to resolve this issue.

So, right now transfers from US banks to Intercam don't work. Does anyone know if transfers from Canadian banks will go through? Just curious.

I have been doing Global Express transfers to my Intercam acount from my TD Bank in Canada for the last 30 months. The daily limit was $6500 and cost $6.99--the $6.99 charge from TD was slated to revert to $0 on July 1,2025.

On July 1 (Tuesday) I used Global Express for a transfer. Thus far, (Saturday) the transfer is still "In progress". I expect the transfer of funds to be cancelled because it goes through an intermediary US bank. (As do credit card (Visa & MC transactions.) It may be delayed because of the Bank Holidays (July 1 & 4).

I'll let you know.

We’re signing up with BBVA Monday. It’s unfortunate that the trump gang is doing this to Intercam. That said if it wasn’t being used by fentanyl dealers it hopefully will be exonerated.

Hi Raul, a friend forwarded this article to me and I’ve heard this from other sources also. BBVA has a basic account with limited functionality and a premium account. On the premium account they may try to have you sign up for a monthly insurance policy. Looking forward to hearing about your experience.

That's not a very encouraging article. Is Banamex a reasonable alternative? I like the online aspect of BBVA but they seem like crooks in a lot of ways. And that petty cash type of account doesn't seem all that useful.

I say, be patient with Intercam. They will sort this out. Banamex is the biggest crook of them all! BBVA is expensive.

Yup. I share Eileen's view. (That said, I am presently in the US where most of my funds are, rather than down in MX wishing I could make a transfer!)

We had the worst banking experience of our lives at Banamex. Terrible service, actions taken on our account with no explanation, just overall a very crappy bank.

Airbnb will not send my rental payouts to Intercam, due to regulatory issues, as they put it.
