Hi Krissy, yes, the rocks will be around until the fall/winter when either Mother Nature will clean them up or, like last year, a concerted effort by the good people of La Manzanilla will remove them from the beach.
The debate continues as to which method is best for the health of the ecosystem, but there’s no denying that what was done last year improved the aesthetics of the beach for the winter season.
PS: crocs can’t survive long in the ocean so if one does get washed out of the mangrove, it usually finds its way back home quickly.SpencerC/Moderator
Thank you for the response. It has been a rough go on the beach thus far. My husband and I are determined to find the best on/off route with the tides. We usually walk to boca and back. Never experienced rocks all the way down.
