Among the most important Mexican holidays, Independence Day stands out as a powerful celebration of liberty and unity. Every year on September 16, México commemorates the historic moment that sparked its fight for freedom.

Monday night will be the fiesta mexicana to accompany el grito de independencia. The kindergarten will be selling tacos Tuxpenos, agua frescas y fruta. There is the usual palo encebadó- young men primarily climb up a greased pole where bags of prizes await at the top. At some point the singing of the national hymn and grito will take place. The jardin/plaza has been decorated nicely with colorful flags by the Alejandra and her team of amigas. The food will be ready at 8pm. Come out and enjoy a fun night of action.
