Seeking lodging rental or exchange - Nov 14th

Hola All,
I’m new here in La Manzanilla! I came to volunteer with Peluditos (Laura and Ginny’s program), and am offering basic training for rescue dogs to help increase their chances of adoption. (Leash pulling or jumping up on people doesn’t exactly help their odds!). The dogs need consistent training and repetition to build trust with humans, and this can begin in the shelter while they await a “forever” home - if they are lucky!! I’m also bringing some creative ideas for fundraising, as the program needs a lot of support to stay afloat.
Through the volunteer work-exchange program at Peluditos, I’m currently receiving housing in exchange for my work. I'm living in a lovely gifted casita just a few blocks up from Oxxo until November 14.
To continue working with the dogs beyond that date, I’ll need to find new housing — which can be challenging during the high season! I’m looking to rent something at low-end rent, anywhere around town, or even outside of town, especially if it's near the road to the shelter. (I currently bike there.)
Alternatively, I’d certainly be open to renting a room in a shared home where I’d have a private room and share the kitchen and common areas. I can also offer pet/house-sitting services for a home or pet that is in need of looking after. Dates would be Nov. 14th - Dec. 24th.
I currently volunteer at the shelter in the afternoons and do some online work in the mornings. I live simply — focused on healthy eating and a positive lifestyle (no alcohol or smoking). I thrive in a somewhat quiet environment.
I love working with animals and am a former horse trainer for the U.S. Park Service. I lived in Hawaii for 15 years and feel equally at home here in La Manzanilla.
