Does anyone Know the scoop on Fibre Optic for internet. Are there people in town that are hooked up? Is it actually faster and more constant than the existing set up? Is it more expensive? Thanks.

I have it from Telmex but it hasn’t been working for 2+ weeks and Telmex isn’t fast on repair requests. When it works, it’s great. Stable 300mbs.

Thanks Spencer . It's odd.. there is a guy scheduled for today to come and verify our location for a possible installation. You'd think if they could send out someone to encourage more customers that they could send out a repair man. I will be sure to ask the guy about this.

Telmex installed fiber optics at my house in April. I noticed no appreciable,e difference in speed or quality. It went out over a month ago (some pendejo cut the cable), and all I've gotten from Telmex are líes, excuses and an incredible assortment of total BS.

Call Chuy, a local guy, for your fiber optics.

You don't need a Telmex land line. Many people here, including myself.f, have availed themselves of his internet service.
