Just a heads up that there is a call for major blockades on highways all over Mexico - including here in our area, on Monday November 24. These demonstrations are being carried out by Agricultural and Transport workers, who are not happy with the prices they are getting for corn and other products.

"Trucking organizations and farmers' groups have confirmed a nationwide blockade for Monday, November 24th, a day of protest that will extend across much of the country and could severely disrupt major transportation routes.

The call to action was spearheaded by the National Association of Truckers (ANTAC), the National Front for the Rescue of the Mexican Countryside, and the Agricultural and Peasant Movement (MAC), who urged citizens to avoid road travel that day."

US grassroots organizations are urging people to not shop on the traditional Black Friday/November 26 to Dec. 2. Boycotts are aimed at major retailers to challenge their policies and practices related to social issues. Small local businesses are exempt which is sometimes hard to determine as their merchandise may be connected to the big guys. Oh well, at least it's some action that might stand up to the mega billionaires running and ruining the country.
