🔥 🔥 🚧 🚧 ROADS CLOSED DUE TO BURNING VEHICLES IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CIHUATLÁN, JALISCO, MEXICO.

1️⃣ #First bridge in Cihuatlán, Jalisco, Mexico. No access to Manzanillo.

2️⃣ #Second Lázaro Cárdenas hill, towards La Huerta, Jalisco, Mexico. Federal Highway 80.

3️⃣ #Third between the Aguacate bypass and Lázaro Cárdenas, towards La Huerta, Jalisco, Mexico, Federal Highway 80.

4️⃣ #Fourth closed from Autlán to El Grullo.

5️⃣ Fifth road closure from Tomatlán to Vallarta on Highway 200.
❌ 🚦 No passage from Melaque to La Huerta or from Cihuatlán to Manzanillo.
🛑 🛑 #Recommendations: Avoid these routes; they are impassable.

Authorities in #Jalisco reported that there are vehicles on fire in:
-Gas station at Calzada and Periférico
-Calzada and Periférico
-Road to Zacoalco de Torres
-Lázaro Cárdenas Avenue at the height of the SEMEFO (Forensic Medical Service)
-Km 49 of the Acatlán de Juárez – Ciudad Guzmán free highway
-Corcovado heading to Guadalajara
-Highway to Saltillo
-Periférico and Tabachines
-Río Seco and Lázaro Cárdenas
-Vallarta and Periférico
-Chapala to Mazamitla Highway
Citizens are urged to take extra precautions.

At least 10 cars reported on fire this morning in PV. Sorry for my original post that was AI "enhanced." I should have paid more attention. Still a nasty situation all around.

Fortunately (?) I think the romantic zone photo is AI generated. There are quite a few taxis set on fire in PV but haven’t found any reports on building fires at this time.

A cartel leader was arrested in Tapalpa. The story is being updated by the minute. We have friends in Vallarta that have been told to stay in their resort and were not allowed to rent a car.

Looks like Federal forces reportedly killed Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias "El Mencho," leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel
