Throughout Mexico, the term “ Agua Potable” generally refers to water delivered by pipes into homes and is regarded as safe to drink. Some places consider “agua potable”, water delivered to homes, but not necessarily good to drink.
In some places there are hand pumped pumps with “agua potable” which is good drinking water. I suggest we always need to check as to the definition in the local area.
