The Next Tropical Cyclone

There is a tropical depression developing to the south of us as is seen on NOAA Graphic Tropical Weather Outlook.

Of the three most reliable weather algorithms on Ventusky, ICON and GFS show the path of the tropical storm/hurricane hitting us directly on late Saturday, early Sunday this weekend. ECMWF shows the path a bit further west but bringing us quite a bit of wind and rain.

It's still early and future projections may very well change the current outlook. But, this storm is one to keep an eye on!

An easy way to track these storms is to use the Hurricane Tracker in Windy.com

Although at the time I type this the storm isn't named yet it is identified as 92E and can be tracked in Windy. You can change between the 3 most common models with a click. Here's a link to Windy and one of the models. This is a forecast for Saturday. If you go to the site you will see an area on the lower right to change the model.

Zoom Earth is another good app and website. Lots of filters and tabs to turn off and on and track things with.
