Wise transfer

Posted by mikem User icon on October 20, 2026, 6:47 am

Wise giving me a "currently cannot support payments to this bank, working to resolve issue" when I try and send $$. However if I repeat a past smaller amount transfer it works fine. Anyone else having issues?

I transferred 27000 pesos through WISE to Kapital bank late last week from US with no problems.

Your transfer was a new transaction? Thanks for the info. Hoping it's a temporary glitch.

No. Mine was a repeat transaction to a previously-entered recipient.

Easiest (and usually the best rate) to let Wise handle the exchange then transfer pesos from there to Kapital.

Well duh. Discovered I was entering my "pre-Kapital"(Intercam) acct. number and not the newer number. Just did a transfer and all good. Thanks for the responses though.

Is the bank code for kapital specific to each account or the same? I looked at a xfer pesos to peso on the wise platform. The code I get ends in 9494, Banco autofin? Does that sound correct?

I think the bank code is a 3 digit number and is also part of your CLABE number. My specific problem was in reference to my CLABE number. I inadvertently used my old number from Intercam. Also, I was sending US dollars converted to pesos.

Ya, the code is 128. What is the clabe number for kapital. Mine ends in 9494 and begins with 128 is that the correct clabe for all transfers?

What the number ends with is specific to you.

CLABE structure for Kapital bank does not look what most banks use.
BANK, BRANCH, ACCOUNT NR.
Best to use the clabe number as shown under your account info in the Kapital app. And not to figure it out yourselve.
