it hasn't got the strongest set of melodies you'll ever hear, that's for sure. But I'm not familiar with her at all, so maybe that's her thing. I like the piano rhythms much more than the '80s Waits-esque percussion ones, but all the music seems pretty underwritten (while there are too many lyrics). It kinda reminds me of "The Eraser," and the lesser Radiohead tracks, except you can't sing along with these. There are probably more modern examples of that style that I don't know. There's more effort here than Billie Eillish or whoever, at least. I understand why people would like it, even if I don't, though, because at least it sounds like she cares and that it matters.
