Barbara Manning - 1212. I don't terribly love the long suite on this but most of the other songs are good. Bonus, there's the only Amon Duul II cover I've ever heard.
The Golden Palominos - Blast Of Silence. This is such a weird "band", all of their albums are completely different. This is real countryish. It's alright.
Lambchop - How I Quit Smoking. I'd heard some of their later albums, but this one is better I think.
Matia Bazar - Aristocratica. Italian post-punky synthpop with operatic vocals. It's cool.
Datblygu - Pyst. To call them The Fall, but in Welsh, is a little reductive but not completely inaccurate. Worth a listen.
Isis - Isis. An all-female horn rock band from the 70s, produced by Shadow Morton of Shangri-Las fame. I like it.
Beatrice Antolini - A Due. Semi-experimental pianoy pop. I think it's good.
Franco Battiato - La Voce Del Padrone. More Italian synthpop, fun.
Erykah Badu - New Amerykah Part One. Great.
Seba Kaapstad - Thina. South African sort of funky neo-soul band, I like it.
Tiwa Savage - Once Upon A Time. Nigerian pop, it's alright.
East River Pipe - What Are You On? I like this, though you have to be in the right mood.
Jane Siberry - The Walking. Great.
Serafina Steer - The Mind Is A Trap. Chill.
Martha and the Muffins - Metro Music. Great.
Slow Children - Slow Children. In the same vein of accessible post punk. Good.
Fapardokly - Fapardokly. "Lila" is a late-sixties fave of mine, but the rest of this is mediocre.
Joni Mitchell - Turbulent Indigo. Not good.
Joni Mitchell - The Hissing of Summer Lawns. Great - this might be my favorite of hers. But I waffle on that a lot.
Janis Ian - The Secret Life of J. Eddy Fink. Not her best.
Liz Phair - Whitechocolatespaceegg. Nor hers.
Angelica Garcia - Medicine For Birds. Good.
Richard Dawson - Peasant. Good.
Zimpel/Ziolek - Zimpel/Ziolek. Very good.
Olga Bell - Krai. Very good.
Blossom Toes - We Are Ever So Clean. Very good.
####ed Up - Couple Tracks. Good.
Robyn Hitchcock - I Often Dream Of Trains. Some time I need to put together a mix of his best stuff cause he's really inconsistent. I only really like the title track here.
