Neither got COVID. We live in near-isolation, though, so even though the NYC numbers are crazy-high, I feel like our lifestyle is fairly low risk. Seriously, I go out once or twice per week, always after midnight, to get groceries. That's it, other than once or twice a week, we walk to Central Park and hang out for an hour or so. Many people left our part of town for 2nd homes elsewhere, so it's easy to walk to the park and avoid people. I feel like I can do this for the rest of the year without going crazy, and that's probably (at least) how long it will have to be.
Her underlying health issues are perpetually getting worse, however. It's in the process of going from an additional burden that makes life more difficult and painful, to the controlling force over her entire life. Obviously, it's not something that either of us envisioned a few years ago and it really sucks.
