Your read on Snowpiercer is a good summation. Tilda Swinton's great in it and the visuals were sometimes cool but it was heavy-handed and didn't make much sense.
I feel like Smokin' Aces used to play on one of the movie channels a lot and I've seen various bits and pieces that I suspect would make no more sense if they were stuck together in the right order. I think that might have been the first thing I saw Ryan Reynolds in and I kept being confused because Ben Affleck is also in that movie and they kind of look alike and have the same shtick. By the way, Wikipedia informs me "During a rare talk session for Princeton University's series of film screenings in October 2016, director Terrence Malick praised the film, stating that it was "very well directed" and impressive in how it was able to balance numerous plotlines."
Little Miss Sunshine - for movies with absurd yet cathartic dance sequence endings, I prefer Napoleon Dynamite.
Train to Busan and Jerry Maguire - I've seen these and retain very little about them. I do remember JM being bizarrely long, although I think I liked it okay.
