Re: Just curious, why didn't you like "Invisible Man"?
Mostly just that it was long and long-winded. It seems stylistically of a piece with some other Modernist stuff I've never really gotten into (TS Eliot, Woolf, Faulkner) for the same reason. It's also very episodic in a way that made it difficult for me to stay invested.
I probably read half or so of it and am glad I did so, but I doubt I'll ever finish it.
