TFC's problem is that the music is sort of deliberately derived from The Wall, giving both the false impression that Roger wanted the album to be "dominated by words" as well as the idea that Floyd were out of ideas.
There's also people accusing Roger of being vain and self-serving.
Uhhmm...no, I think TFC is one of the few legitimate "political pain" albums in the biz...I find Roger's sentiments completely unembarrassing.

TDB--it's hard to forget the openly scornful reviews it got when it came out, Beavis and Butthead calling it "wussie music," and PUBLIUS ENIGMA ("yeah! Let's prank the Internet...via USENET!"), but I do like "Poles Apart" and "What Do You Want From Me?"
