VDGG - Pawn Hearts (revisited this after a few years after getting really into it.. it is great, and I find "Lighthouse" a masterpiece. It is crazy, beautiful, interesting and never gets boring. Peter Hammill's voice is over the top and theatrical but it fits the music)
Cage The Elephant - Melophobia (pretty catchy indie rock, this album is some of the best of the decade i think. Been listening to stuff from his other albums and I really like quite a few songs, but mostly familiar with this album)
Rolling Stones - Goats Head Soup (Always loved this album, although ill admit these days its a bit underwhelming for them. Still its fun that its kind of a mixed bag of styles. Most of the album is great (100 Years Ago, Angie, Winter, Heartbreaker, Star Star, Dancing With Mr D are all top notch), some weird shit ("Can You Hear The Music") and weird throwaway stuff ("Silver Train", "Hide Your Love") puts the rating down but its still great. "Coming Down Again" is so sad, very underrated tune)'
Byrds - Sweetheart Of The Rodeo (Still don't know what to make of this; I like it, but have to be in the mood for a traditional country sound. Its called 'country rock' but not much 'rock' on here to me. Id like to hear the other Byrds albums after this out of curiosity even though no one seems to care about those albums)
Also tend to put on the same stuff in my car during my short ride to work and its been Of Montreal, mainly Coliquoit Asleep In The Poppies. Seriously that piano piece at the end "Hopeless Opus" is one of my favorite things ever.
