Anyway race and culture is pretty nebulous and a lot of different peoples have their own view. Both (that is, "nation" and "race") fall under the Latin "genus"; the Greek word for "custom" is the same as "law" (nomos) and in both Latin and Greek "habits" is the same as "character" (mores/ethos respectively). Famously, the Greeks had three different words for "love". It's also very tempting to conflate a linguistic group with an ethnicity (Vietnamese people with the Vietnamese language -- note how above I did just this, saying "a lot of peoples", that is, nations, have different words: that is, linguistic groups). All this is to say that "race" doesn't necessarily have anything to do with skin color and could easily be the same thing as "culture".
Of course you could say this is flawed, too, as having or not having a word for something doesn't mean you can or can't think it.
If this doesn't make much sense it's probably because I'm high. Sorry.
