I was probably around 8 when I first saw "Raiders"
and yeah, the face-melting disturbed me (just looks like wax these days but not to a child of the 80's) but the part that really ####ed with me was when Indy smashes through the wall and is suddenly surrounded by corpses with giant snakes in their mouths and eye sockets. LOL well of course people are gonna say that shit. And though that's an undeniable fact, it was mostly about the ratings board trying to get their shit together and come to terms with how many fewer disturbing realities were being left to filmgoers' imaginations at the time.
