I love "Temporary Secretary"
And the first two McCartney albums in general. Took a little bit to warm up to the first one since, I suppose like everybody, I was expecting a more cohesive solo effort, even forewarned. But McCartney II was top class and I thought it was his best since At the Speed of Sound (actually his best since the one before that -- Venus and Mars? Do people actually sort his Wings and solo stuff separately?)
McCartney II is what I imagine the Beach Boys' Love You to sound like -- homespun, individual, electronic- and -stripped-down sounding -- but I haven't heard it yet, and to judge from Billdude's account it's not high on my list.
Yeah, Egypt Station was crap, but with a few duffers he's quietly put up quite the winning streak since the '80s.
