I guess I can sorta understand "Independence Day"
Generally the type of holiday that lends itself to outdoor activities rather than movie watching but I can see how that might be fun to watch after a drunken 4th of July BBQ. And I always forget about the annual "Twilight Zone" marathon they have on New Year's but that's been going on as long as I can remember (though I own the entire series on DVD at this point which makes it lose some of the appeal)- TBH I was never into New Year's even during my drinking days. Memorial Day and Labor Day though? Those have never even registered with me as actual holidays and therefore don't really call for any traditions.
