Thinner-terrible, but kinda fun, Stephen King "thriller" where a really fat guy runs over an old gypsy lady while getting a BJ, and then the old gypsy lady's father (yep) puts a curse on the guy, so that he becomes progressively thinner. It stinks, but is so random that i didn't hate it. Joe Mantegna has a bizarre turn as a underworld crime boss, and I swear there's a scene where he takes a machine gun to a gypsy camp.
Graveyard Shift-even worse Stephen King fare here; this time there's a bunch of mill workers toiling in a ridiculously rat-infested plant for this semi-evil British guy who keeps doing a Quint impression, but they keep getting eaten by this giant bat (not rat) monster that lives underground. One of the worst casts in any movie, but thank Christ it's got a scenery chewing Brad Dourif as a hilariously inept exterminator.
Grudge Match-I remember seeing billboards for this movie and not being sure that it actually existed. It's Stallone and De Niro as two way retired boxers who come back to fight the third and deciding match in their rivalry, because reasons. It's a mix of comedy and drama; most of the comedy comes from Alan Arkin, who plays the same character he did in Little Miss Sunshine, and Kevin Hart, who I'd never actually seen in anything before. It's not abysmal, but you'll definitely be asking yourself why it exists through the whole thing.
Gattaca-a movie that doesn't work, but I'd have trouble explaining why. So it's the future, but mostly looks like the present, and parents can have perfect children cuz of science, and Ethan Hawke isn't so genetically blessed, but he wants to be an astronaut, so he pretends to be Jude Law (who's in a wheelchair, but is one of those supermen), and there's a murder of someone at the company, so there's an investigation going through the whole thing, but none of it works, and not even Uma Thurman in her prime helps. It was a tv show too and seems like it should be.
The Beach-certainly the worst Danny Boyle movie I've seen! Leo and some jabronis find a secret island where life is perfect or whatever, but then Leo goes crazy in the jungle, and yeah, I don't care, it's shit.
