I wonder if some of the issue with Harrison is that he was a mediocre producer. It would explain the dropoff in quality from All Things to Material World, which I remember sounding rather thin, and the pickup in quality with his last two Jeff Lynne-produced albums.
"Blow Away" is my favorite post-ATMP Harrison song, though I don't know his discography that well.
I don't think I can name a Sting solo song besides "Fields of Gold", which is passable I guess. Then again, I'm not much of a Police fan.
