The Soft Boys - 76-81 compilation - found this CD while moving, it's interesting, almost all alternate takes/live recordings. I get how Hitchcock thinks of his early songs as mostly novelty tunes ("It's Not Just the Size of a Walnut"?) but the band was impressive. "Salamander" is a real gem.

Sault - Untitled (Black is) - this is cool, don't really know a ton about this band but they've got range and nice hooks to go along with the messages.

Jimi Hendrix - Are You Experienced? - I always mean to listen to Hendrix more than I actually do. On this listen "Love or Confusion" really stood out to me.

Popol Vuh - Letzte Tage Letzte Nachte - gorgeous

Goodie Mob - Survival Kit - better than I expected, they sound energized, "Off Road" is like a feel-good country song.

Viagra Boys - Welfare Jazz - fun, not sure how much I'll return to it but "Ain't Nice" is a classic

Nathan Salsburg - Landwerk - cool semi-ambient record using old 78 loops with acoustic guitar added
