Yeah I think "Room On Fire" the Strokes 2nd album is better too. The 1st is great but a bit overrated. I thought their 2nd is ####ing killer. Really not one bad song on it, tons of energy, updated musicianship, every song has a memorable melody and Julians voice is more in your face and intense than before or since, on stuff like "Reptilia" anyways.

I had not really intended on giving them much of a listen but my girlfriend kept playing the first 2 albums on repeat and the 2nd one grew on me a ton and became one of my fave albums of the 00s. The 1st album I bought years ago and always appreciated it, though i lost interest in The Strokes since shortly after that.

Gentle Giant has some really great stuff. Octopus was a great album to start with. Any of their albums before that one is worth checking out as well and "In A Glass House".
