I'd say On Golden Pond and Out Of Africa are still somewhat famous (partly thanks to John Barry on the latter)

Those other four, yes. Trawling through 80's Oscar nominees, here are ones I know nothing about:

7 nominations: Places in the Heart
5 nominations: Atlantic City, The Dresser, Silkwood, The River, Yentl, Gorillas in the Mist

Was tempted to add Prizzi's Honor which I've heard of, and got 8 nominstions, but seems to have been seen by hardly anyone. Jack Nicholson did quite a bit of forgotten prestige stuff in the 80's. Has anyone seen Ironweed?

Gorrilas In The Mist got five as well, do people still watch that?
