I didn't mean to leave Gorillas on the list of ones I'd never heard of because I'd at least heard of it. It's another that I've never seen and no one talks about anymore though. Coal Miners Daughter probably belongs.

This trend continues into the 90's as well with stuff like Prince Of Tides.

What gets me is these films never seem to show up on tv, never show up on streaming, no one talks about them. Whatever buzz they generated at the time was as fleeting as any piece of disposable pop fluff.
