A Band Called Death - I've heard this band before I think but not this documentary. They definitely sounded pretty cool. I think I heard of them after trying to hear some of the other proto-punk stuff in the 70s besides The Stooges. Maybe I'll check this out sometime but I think the music itself along with some info about them online is probably more necessary to get an idea of what theyre about.
Bad Trip - Never heard of this movie but I heard of Eric Andre. I used to watch his show on Adult Swim. I guess hes on Comedy Central now huh? Im out of the loop on what is on TV anymore. That movie honestly sounds pretty decent as a mindless popcorn film i can watch when im stoned and bored I suppose.
Stones "Only Rock N Roll" - I haven't given this one much of a listen honestly, maybe a few times, but my impression is that I agree with you and that this is when the quality of the Stones records started going a bit down, and it is the start of them repeating themselves instead of doing unique sounds on their records. The title track is awesome though, which i heard barely has any Stones playing on it and is mostly a jam with different other big musicians, if I remember correctly.
Still Cruisin' - I share your guilty pleasure for some of the shit on here. It IS catchy and harmless overall (besides the embarrassing Fat Boys song). I like the same songs you mentioned. "Somewhere Near Japan" in particular is actually really nice and I honestly really like that one. Reading about the origins of the song is even more interesting (The Beach Boys themselves seemingly having not a clue what the song is actually about?)
