That was the era where all a fading legend needed to do to be hyped as Back On Form was put something out that wasn't awkwardly chasing mid-late 80's production trends.
But looking back, most of those comebacks weren't very good, and *still* sound dated, just in a more boring colourless kind of way.
People seem to be harsher on Bridges, probably cos of the 90's-ness, but I'd say it has a similar number of good songs as Voodoo. And the good songs are really good. They're both just way too long.
A Bigger Band was also way too long, but with fewer good songs.
