I also think "Guero" is really good/underrated but if you didn't like "Odelay", you might not like that one either since it marks the return of The Dust Bros as producers (but it's more somber/mature/melodic and less hip hop influenced so there's a chance you'd at least prefer it to "Odelay").
I think the songwriting on "Sea Change" is shockingly bland/generic/derivative and have never understood the acclaim aside from folks just being suckers for "breakup" albums. But the material on the similarly folky/somber/melodic/Godrich produced "Mutations" completely blows it away. FTR "Mellow Gold" has always been my favorite- it emphasizes Beck's strengths while downplaying his weaknesses IMO and is just a shit ton of fun.
