Nirvana unplugged is up there with my favorite Nirvana. Its been played out majorly with songs on the radio played a lot but I love the sound so much on that performance. Muddy Banks album is okay. A kind of beginners guide to Nirvana live shows kinda thing.
Jar Of Flies is classic (and Sap). He defintely needs to hear those. They were so good with acoustic songs (Unplugged too, is really good.. and has that song available nowhere else "Killer Is Me").
I like REMs Monster too. Not a flop at all and I enjoy it as much as you. Not at all my favorite REM though.
Dave never got as good as that first Foo Fighters album for sure. The pre-Foos debut demo "Pocketwatch" is kinda cool though. No one mentions that one. Production is lacking, and a few stupid songs but its worth hearing.
The Breeders are underrated as hell imo. Last Splash is ####ing great and I used to think Pod was their best, but Last Splash grew on me a lot over the years.
